Since China Nuo Opera Research Institute (CNORI) established in November in 1988, Nuo researchers have their own research party and Nuo research in China come into a new phase having clear plan and proposes. CNORI communicates with members and scholars, organizes seminars.

CNORI organized Nuo international research seminar in linfen, Shanxi province in April, 1990. Researchers watched Shangu Shenpu Nuo rituals and Nuo theatre in Ren county, Quwo town.

CNORI organized China Minority Ethnics Nuo international research seminar in Jishou, Hunan province in 1991. Researchers watched Tujia ethnic Maogusi in Nuo rituals and Nuotan theatre in western Hunan province.
In 1992, Nuo international research seminar was hold in Guangxi province. Researchers investigated Shigong theatre, Nuo dance and Nuo mask in Nanning, Liuzhou and Guilin in Guangxi province and Nanfeng Nuo dance in Jiangxi province.

In 1994, Nuo international research seminar was hold in Chengjiang, Yunnan province. Researchers investigated Ni ethnic Tiaohu festival in Chuxiong town and Han ethnic Guansuo theatre in Xiaotun village, Chengjiang County.
In 1995, CNORI organized China Minority Ethnic Mask culture exhibition in Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing.
In 1998, Asia Folk Theatre and Folk Art research seminar was hold in Guyi village in Wuan city, Hubei province. Researchers watched Zhuohuanggui in sacrifice rituals and folk theatre Diaoliema.

In 2000, Kunlun Culture Seminar Cross-Taiwan Straits was hold in Xining city, Qinghai province. Researchers watched Tu ethnic Nadun festival in Sanchuan district in Minhe County, Tibetan and Tu ethnic June Nuo Rituals and Tiaowutu dance in Tongren County, Ocean sacrifice rituals at Qinghai lakeside, and grand religion Qiangmu dance.
In 2002, CNORI hold ancient Qiang culture seminar in Mao County, Sichuan province. Researchers investigated White Stone worship, Diaolou (a kind of local architecture style), grand Hill sacrifice rituals and Shibi activities.

In 2003, China Fanjinshan Nuo culture Seminar was hold in Dejiang town, Guizhou province. Researchers investigated Dejiang Nuotang theatre, Fuquan Yang theatre, Tunbao culture in Pingba County in Anshun town and Di theatre, and visited Tongren museum.
In 2005, CNORI helped Jiangxi provincial government to organize Jiangxi Nuo Culture Week and seminar. Participators watched several Nuo group from different province to perform Caijie, Nuo dance from Nanfeng town.

CNORI established our own website www.nuoxi.com since 2004. It has two languages, Chinese and ag视讯积分|注册. It consisted of CNORI introduction, CNORI activities, Nuo forum, shipping in the Nuo Ocean, Nuo pictures and members letter. This website serves for Nuo friends and researchers all around the world. They can know CNORI newly activities and the status of researches. It opens a Nuo culture window to all people.
In 2006, CNORI hold Saishe and Yuehu international seminar in Changzhi, Shanxi province. Participators watched grand Saishe rituals, Gongzhan rituals and Yuehu orchestra in Jia village, Lucheng town.
In 2007, CNORI helped Lengshuijiang town, in Hunan province, to organize Meishan Festival and approve Lengshuijiang as CNORI Nuo research base.
In the 20 years, leaders and researchers in CNORI visit many counties, such as Germany, France, Spain, Britain, Japan, Korea and Singapore. They attend many international seminars to disseminate Nuo culture and to communicate with other scholars. CNORI let the world know the traditional culture in China.
